They are bad thieves

They are thieves. They’re very dishonest they give you a real low price and then they hold you hostage for a lot more money and will not unload your furniture until you pay them bait and switch. it took him forever to load my furniture when they finally got it loaded they damaged some of it then they didn’t have room for all of it. It was just a real cluster. You know what

Murat and William.

I moved from Killeen Texas to Cincinnati Ohio. My stuff arrived on Oct 12th. Murat and William did an exceptional job of unloading all my goods. They took extra special care with every piece of furniture and of the walls and floors of my new apartment. They made sure everything was put back together and placed where I wanted it. I would highly recommend Them over and over again!

Avoid Avoid Avoid.

The people who showed up to load and unload my items were nice and from what I could see handled my items carefully. The guys in between though didn't even try. While loading everything into the semi, they must have used the fork lift to shove as much into every space as possible. They bent tool work benches, tool boxes, even a brand new dolly! Boxes were split down the sides, crushed and even upside down. The website will only allow me to post 3 pictures, one of which refuses to load. I wish I could show the shattered glass, broken computers and everything else but I didn't take pictures of all of it IN THE BOXES. By the way, you will need to take pictures of EVERYTHING inside and outside the boxes. Here is a quote directly from their claims center (which is also a joke ) "PHOTOS OF EACH DAMAGE ITEM - Photo must show the entire item and the specific damage claimed. For boxed items claimant, provide a photo of the item and the box. All photos must be in color. Be sure to mark each photo with your name and the name of item pictured. In the event photos are not labeled, they will not be considered. Do not submit more than 2 photos per damaged item – Again, photo must show the entire item and the specific damage claimed." This information is not shared with you until you are filing the claim. So heads up. Also, if you didn't purchase any insurance don't bother claiming. They base your refund if any off the type of insurance you chose. I personally wish I would have chose a different company.

Long-distance move from Texas to Florida

Terrible moving from start to finish.

I would like to give a detailed breakdown of all the issues with the move:
1. Delivery Delay:
My things were picked up on 09/06/2019 and the first available date of delivery was given as 09/12/2019. I was contacted on 09/09/2019 if they can load and move my stuff. Since I did not have a confirmed delivery address at that time, I reached out to them on 09/16/2019 with the delivery request. The items were delivered only on 10/04/2019. It took them whole 3 weeks to send my packages to me even though they promised that they could do it in 3 to 4 days. I had repeatedly contacted them but they never gave me a clear date of pick up or expected date of delivery but I never got one and the driver contacted me 2 days before delivery and even though I asked to call me 30 min before reaching my home, he called me only after reaching. The entire process was delayed a lot.
2. Damage
None of my furniture were usable. My couch was broken, bed was broken(headboard and footboard), crib was broken, my TV doesn't work. All but 7 boxes were broken or damaged or severely stained from what looks like oil and dirt.
3. Loss
They missed 2 boxes during the move and none of my furniture is usable and my TV doesn't work.

My total financial loss is $1850. On top of this, my moving had cost me $1800 for apparently moving broken stuff. I'm very disappointed with the overall move and I need a refund of the services I paid for and compensated for my financial loss.

Long-distance move from Dallas, TX to Olympia, WA

Unprofessional Company, Horrendous Service.

This was an overall terrible company to work with. They showed up late the day of the move and had not been working an hour before they disappeared and said they needed to get lunch. When we said we were needing to get on the road to make sure we met our timeline to start a new job, they said they would be back later but they could just take inventory themselves and let us know about changes later. We declined this shady offer and did not get on the road till way past our estimated time. We hoped this would be the worst of it - it was not. Not only did they end up delivering days after what we said our desired move in date was, they called us 24 hours before the move and said an oversight led them to believe they would need an additional $500 before they could deliver because they could not bring a truck that size downtown. I was furious. Our address has been the same since day one but this was never mentioned. I argued against it and they said they would send a guy to oversee the parking availability and go from there. The guy arrived at 8PM WITH the truck and said they wouldn’t have to charge another $500 that night, but they would in the morning so he had to deliver it right then. We argued with the company and they assured us more help would come and it would be quick - both lies. This odd man proceeded to try to do it himself and the manager started sending our calls to voicemail. He dropped our Ethan Allen desk on its side and dropped boxes clearly marked FRAGILE wrong side up. We were missing a nightstand, everything was dirty, l the wooden furniture had scuff marks and broken chips, the boxes had holes in them, and to boot - he yelled at us and he shoved his phone at me when his manager called. I have never dealt with such a shady, unprofessional company in my life. We would have been better off A. Selling our things and using what we paid them as a down payment on new furniture B. Moving it ourselves or C. Hiring the random homeless people off the street to move it. I would never recommend this company to anyone for any reason.

Movers are stealing stuffs.

The overall service was pretty good from the beginning to the end. They did not miss the pick up time however they came to deliver earlier than we expected.

I have my son drawer that cracked on the corner which I suspected it was dropped during the lifting. What really pissed me off, they were stealing a bunch of body lotions and facial wash. I have them in a plastic bin and the movers opened them up and taking about half of the bin. I remembered distinctly I have 7 Victoria secret lotion and it was 1 left, 8 of bath and body works lotion and only 2 left. They also stole my high end facial wash. I have lot of those stuff and of they were thinking that I do not notice some of them missing, they were wrong. And now I have to deal with the claims which I may not be getting the full amount that I have spent for my stuff back. I should've listened to my wife to switch to banker box instead of using plastic bin. I thought I could trust this mover, but I guess I was completely wrong.

Terrible company that will damage all of your stuff

Destroyed a bunch of my stuff when I used them to move... then they use some 3rd party company to give you the run around and make it an extreme hassle to try and get a refund. once you finally do get an offer, they low ball you well below the required amount specified by their OWN fine print. If your moving out of state too good luck seeking any sort of recourse. you'd have to pursue it in TX not wherever you end up.

If you want anything you own to still be in one piece when it shows up, then avoid this company AT ALL COSTS. They damaged my couch, motorcycle, dishes, box spring... the list goes on.

My motorcycle was damaged it was scratched up I had tape on it they broke my light kit I have broken dishes and sentimental items and glass in picture frames and all of the stuff I had wrapped very well even my Tupperware containers were broken and then of course they tried to charge me extra money saying that they couldn’t deliver it on top of charging me an extra $2000 when they picked my furniture up from what the original quote was and I’m still waiting to hear back as far as what they’re going to do about my damages

Worst experience. Be careful!

Hiring this company to move my stuff was one of the worst experiences of my life. I had exactly the same experience that many of the negative reviewers have described below. I believe they have fewer negative reviews only because they are trying to buy customers off. Here is my experience:

1. Everything was awesome with their sales team. They will pick up my call on the first ring, respond to all emails, they will offer to match any other quotes we receive, they are open to slight changes in the schedule because “they understand that changes can happen in a big move” (!!).
2. A packing and pickup team arrived on time and started packing and loading the truck. About half way through loading, the tone of the leader started changing. He said I have a lot more stuff than they have agreed and hence either he can stop loading and leave the rest with me, or I have to pay extra. Who can agree to leaving half of the stuff back, when you are moving across the country the next day? Finally he charged me 65% more than what was agreed with their sales team. They took 70% of the total charges. Now, all my precious stuff and 70% of the money is with them.
3. They started showing their true color after taking my stuff. I had agreed for storage of items for 35 days, and have given them 3 weeks notice for the delivery date. As date got closer, I am not getting any correspondence from the company. I started to call all the numbers I had been given and no one picks up the call. They have caller ID installed, so whenever they see your number, they will deliberately not pick up or respond to Voice mail. I sent numerous voice mails, sms but no response. I got so worried and suspected if they have even sold my stuff. Finally 3 days after the agreed delivery date has passed and still no response, I had to send a friend in person to their address given on the website, and it took an hour for him find their office, which is an extremely small “unmarked” room in a warehouse areas near Dallas with 3 people sitting in front of computers.
4. My friend called me on phone while being there and I could talk to a person for the first time. He said, they will try to find a truck in next 2-3 days, and cannot say when they will be able to do so (!!). He agreed to let me know the progress as soon as they can find a truck. Remember, their sales team had said, they operate their own trucks and is unlike other moving companies, but it seems they don’t even have a single truck. After 2 days, I get an email saying stuff is loaded and is on the way.
5. The next day I get a call from the truck driver, saying his truck is broken down and will come only after 2 days. The next day morning (8 days after agreed delivery date, and we are sleeping on the floor in an empty house for all these days), the truck driver comes. He doesn’t have anybody with him, and not even a screwdriver to assemble the furniture. He barely can speak english and spends the next 3 hours on phone calling hourly helpers to help him unload, and finally ends up getting 1 college student who is doing this job for first time. They both unload stuff for 5 hours, and in the process (or during pickup and storage), breaks several valuable items. When I point that out, truck driver says “oh, its a big move right, there will be some damages. You can call the company if you have any issues”! I am reminded again of my experience of “calling the company”. He takes the rest of the money in cash and leaves.
6. I decided to file a claim for damage and use their claims website. This is another one of their extremely terrible customer care set up. You have to take hard copies of all the forms, photostats of all paperwork, photographs of damaged items etc and send it to an address in Florida. This is of course, a 3rd party company who have no relationship with the movers. They sit of it for 2 months and sent me an email asking me to send a regular letter saying “I have no more documents to submit”. Finally after 4 months, they agree to pay $76.00 when the damage done was over $800.00. For this I have to again send a hard copy of accepting it!! It is not even worth the expense of paperwork I did for filing the claim. Decided not to accept it.

I have not exaggerated anything above. I paid over $4700 and this is what I got. Decide for yourself!

Don’t do It!!

We have been waiting for almost 2 weeks to find out if and when our stuff is going to be delivered. No one knows where the delivery driver is! We were told when we booked that we would get our stuff “whenever we wanted it” Do yourself a favor and pick a different moving company, unless you like not knowing what’s going on, and living in uncertainty. If we would have known up front that they couldn’t give us any answers we would have gone with someone else.

Absolute Nightmare.

Lost chair and small table, lost shoe bag with 10 pair of wonderful shoes, and missing miscellaneous items. Many, many broken and damaged treasures. Danny was sales contact: he assured me over and over again from first contact in December 2017 to packing day in March 2018 to "don't worry, Mrs.Nuchia, we'll take care of everything!" I was STUPID, should have insisted on a representative coming to the house to give the "binding" contract. Instead, the smooth salesman sold me a "whole 26' truck", promising it would hold all. But when about half was packed and loaded, with only three days before closing the house sale, the lead packer informed us the cost would be another $2000, because there was more than would fit in the 26' truck. We had no choice but to pay, no time to get another mover. But that was only the beginning of Grief City! Weeks after our chosen delivery date, late in an almost-dark evening, a truck arrived at the new house. When they finished unloading, we saw and noted that 2 numbers were missing. Inside the truck was someone else's stuff loose and thrown randomly. My husband did see our king headboard, which we claimed. But one of the high-end swivel chairs to the patio table is gone, we now have a table with 3 chairs. A beautiful butlers cart (which my husband's artist cousin had just refinished, we had literally never used it since she did it??) is missing. My shoes! I'm heartbroken. I've never in 74 years of life experienced such a fraudulent company. They had a responsibly to safeguard our things and they DID NOT. Use this company at your peril.

Cheat and Irresponsible.

Do not consider them as your LAST OPTION too!! Its a company run by cheaters and liars of the highest order. They lost our costliest box containing XBOX and other gadgets and the collection of our favorite books. We were worried about the movement of these items and the helper guys kept reassuring us that it will be fine but eventually they lost just this box and all other less important stuff came through. The moving process was a pain as we had to call the customer care repeatedly for our issues. The Scheduled dates of pickup were changed 4 times according to their convenience when we had actually planned to move the stuff well ahead of our departure. Our Coffee table came all broken with detached racks and screws (lost) , the mattress is stained to an unclean-able amount and the couch has scratches here and there.

As if this wasn't enough the guy who came to drop off the items was rude and very unprofessional .We told him about the missing box and he wasn't ready to acknowledge it and kept telling that we are lying about the missing items. The moving company and sub contractor kept playing the blame game and now they wont even reimburse us a decent amount for the stuff worth 700+ . The insurance clauses explained to us were completely different than the ones they are ready to accept. We were told that anything packed by the movers would be reimbursed at its original price but now they are disagreeing to that very statement and are not ready to entertain the claims.

Don't bother to call this company.

This was a major mistake on my part..This company does quotes very low bids for the job and then adds on at their will. I moved from Texas to FL. and the packing was supposed to be done one day and the loading of the truck the next day. Change in their plans and all was done in one day..The last 2 hours was hurried in the packing so they forgot to open a few drawers and left a new vaccuum in the storage locker. I ordered 8 wardrobe boxes but clothes were not hung, they threw all my clothes in the bottom of the boxes and then piled heavy items on top. Two lamp shades were thrown in the pile and a 4 leg vanity seat was thrown on top. The legs went through one shade and dented the other one. I had several items broken, a porcelein Lladro statue of a tennis player and hand painted wine glass, a barrel chair was broken and several dishes..I have 2 lamps missing, and everyday I discover another item missing.
I received a call from a adjuster for the company telling me she sent an email for me to list all items broken and missing. When I opened the email there were signs flashing warning not to open..
encrypted and a virus, so I deleted it and after reading what other people wrote about the ordeal of claiming things sounded like a nightmare. I have decided this is a very dishonest company and guess I'll just chalk it up to a bad choice of movers. Be aware of this companies bad practices and think long and hard when making a choice. The lowers quotes sound very attractive but believe me it won't be that price when all is said and done.

Avoid!! Watch for both reviews.

Anybody giving these guys good reviews must be a bot paid to do so.
Moved from Tulsa OK to Houston Tx. Cost was not an issue but seems to be a common thing to be missing things, normally high end. Missing tools, TV, temperpedic matress, kids bike, new car seat. Etc etc.
I will give credit, the owner or manager said the storage unit my items were stored got broke into and would give me the insurance money. Was paid.
But 2k of between 5-8k of items missing and broken.
Do not use unless you are fully insured, don't care about family items or are moving nothing of importance.
You get what you pay for and less. Good luck.

Long-distance move from Dallas, TX to Daphne, AL

Beware of Underquoting and Overcharging.

This company, through its salesperson MIKE CARLSEN quoted $4,900.00 to move us from Dallas to Alabama. Five other local movers quoted between $6,000-$7,100. On moving day, they told me that they had underestimated our "linear footage" and our cost would have to be recalculated. By the time they got finished, our move was now over $8,200.00. Also, we had to pay $241 of credit card service charge fees to use our card for payment, when this company had told us that credit card payments were the only acceptable form of payment.

Our personal property arrived in two separate shipments, the second of which arrived NINE (9) days after pick up. Several miscellaneous pieces of dissembled furniture were missing, along with the hardware to re-assemble. Despite being told that our furniture would be re-assembled upon delivery, neither of the crews that delivered our personal property assembled any of our furniture. It's been nearly two weeks since our move, and we are still going back and forth to Lowe's trying to find hardware that will enable us to re-assemble our furniture, much of which is antique and difficult to re-assemble without the original hardware.

This company intentionally quotes jobs lower than their competition, knowing that they have you over a barrel on moving day. My salesperson MIKE CARLSEN was available for calls and emails every day prior to pick up, but for some reason was not available, nor would he return any call or email requesting a callback, after the pick up date.

This company needs to be put out of business and reported to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Dallas (Northern District of Texas).

Long-distance move from Chicago, IL to Denver, CO

One bedroom mover from Chicago to Denver.

Beware of square footage estimate and check the small print. We had a bad experience with employees and processes. There was no single contact point so we had to deal with multiple people who provided inconsistent information.
. The movers arrived late on the day we had to vacate the apartment and the price went up 60% from the original bid.
. Delivery date and time changed multiple times times within a 2 day window. At one point they (United VanLines subcontractor) wanted to deliver before we arrived so agreed to accept check or credit card. However, when delivery was made (we were there) they insisted on Cash or Post Office Money Order (see small print!). This was indicative of the conflicting information we received throughout the move process.
. As this was an apartment move the distance from the van exceeded 75ft. This cost an additional $300. They would not move anything until paid. This rate is the same for a 1 bedroom apartment or a full house. It took less than an hour, along with my help, to move the contents into the apartment. This payment was clearly many times more than the cost of 1 hours labor for 2 people to move the apartment contents.
. We lost one box and were told to file an insurance claim - no effort is being made to find the box.
. On the plus side there was no damage as packing was done well. Delivery was 4 days after pick up and the day we arrived in Denver. Total move cost $2,900 versus original bid $1,800.

Do Not Use These People!! us Movers-texas.

On May 31st, we received a moving contract from Cat Rivera of MOVER DUDES for the amount of $2000. On May 31st, we also received a moving estimate from Richard Caveney of MOVER DUDES for the amount of $2000. We were told that the movers would arrive on either Sunday, June 30th or Monday, July 1st. We called the entire week before our moving day and could not get a hold of anyone until the day before the move. We were told that the movers would arrive between 10am and 2pm on Monday, July 1st. At 9:13am, I received a phone call that the movers were knocking on our door and that if no one answered, they were going to leave. My MIL went outside and there wasn’t any movers nor a moving truck. They called back and said that they had the wrong address and that they would arrive around 1pm. They did not show up until 2:40pm. Once they arrived, they were now US MOVERS and no longer MOVER DUDES. I went from communicating with an entity in Florida to an entity in Texas. US MOVERS stated that they would not move any boxes until they were paid $500 more in cash. They stated that they were only moving the furniture on the furniture inventory list. No one from MOVER DUDES asked us how many boxes we had, we were just told that we had to package everything ourselves to maintain the agreed upon amount of $2000. My MIL was beside herself crying, being 67 years old, she felt as though she was being dealt with very rudely by the movers. She had already sent a check for $750 to MOVER DUDES in Florida. She had a check written out for $650 to give to the movers once everything was loaded and another check for $650 once everything was unloaded. At 5:12pm, the movers stated that they would load everything and that they would drive from Enid, Oklahoma to Dallas, Texas, and spend the night in Dallas. They then stated that they would leave July 2nd at 5am and drive from Dallas, Texas to Houston, Texas to my house and drop off all of the belongings. It is now July 2nd at 9pm at night. I have called multiple phone numbers and I keep getting the run around. I am being told by someone in McKinney, Texas that they are holding all of my MIL’s belongings until her check clears. Then I am being told by someone in Florida that the driver is en route to my house and will call me when they get close. I have nothing left to assume but that all of my MIL’s belongings are STOLEN!! Do Not Use.

Moved from Dallas to Houston and were able to service on short notice, no wonder why. Crews were good, but originally told for a quicker delivery that was delayed a day later for pickup and 2 days later than delivery. They had the best estimate and was supposed to be "inclusive". Found out at delivery they require cash and charge for "long carries. Charged me for an elevator that they didn't have to use, but was more convenient for them. I was not even told about the extra fees when I booked. Overall piss poor customer service and shady. I move every year and tried to be cheap, so that's on me. Definitely pay a little more for a moving company that is recommended or truly all inclusive service.

Still waiting..

I requested on October 3rd a delivery date of Saturday October 12th. It’s now Tuesday October 15th and I haven’t heard a thing from anyone in dispatch about when my belongings will arrive. No one is answering my emails, and trying to get someone to answer a phone call much less answer a question is extremely difficult. Such poor customer service when I have paid in full, $4700, and asked 9 days in advance for delivery. I do not recommend this moving company.

We were assigned this mover through a broker. When the Mover actually came to our house, the day we were supposed to move, I received a call that I had more furniture than they expected and it was going to cost me an additional $2000 for them to haul it. I refused the payment initially but was then told that they would only move what they felt was compatible with the pricing I was quoted and leave the rest. Plain and simple this is extortion! It was interesting tho that the total cubic feet was exactly what was predicted. I would never use this company to move me across town. Horrible experience. Take the bad reviews with a grain of salt.

I had a good experience with this movers, my sales representative Jonathan was very knowledgeable.

The movers did a great job packing everything, I had very few damaged items for a 5 bedroom move.

There was small increase in price but I think this come with the territory of moving, good job overall, definitely recommend.

Long-distance move from League City, TX to Kansas City, MO

Horrible Movers- Scam.

RUN AWAY- this company LOVES to scam you for more money and your stuck because they don’t tell you until the day of move. We had to pay an extra 2300 on the day of which almost made us cancel. Unfortunately, cancelling would have made us lose our $3,000+ deposit so we were stuck in this already. Be sure to read the fine print!! The guys who moved our house from Texas we’re fantastic but it went downhill from there. The freight driver changed our delivery date and time twice and didn’t speak any English. We had to text the whole time to get anything from him. He gave us a five minute window to arrive at the storage unit instead of the hour window they promised even after I contacted him twice with text message proof and told him we lived 45 minutes away from the storage facility. We FINALLY get our stuff to the storage unit and the driver said he couldn’t make the truck fit back to the storage unit and wanted an additional $2,000 cash to rent another truck to shuttle the stuff to the unit so we cancelled the 2nd delivery stop because it was so bad and hired a subcontractor (truck / trailer) of our own to move the things from the freight truck to the unit and to our 2nd stop. We found out TONS of our stuff was broken. The driver contracted the guys to move our stuff off the truck- only 1 person showed up so we had to help move everything. The driver hid in his truck for the majority of the move making the one guy he contracted move things alone with zero help. After the guy they hired had a personal conversation with us, he said and quote” This Driver is trying to screw you. Don’t say anything but he's trying to scam a ton of money from you. If he doesn’t pay me (driver to contractor) I was going to punch him in the face. I’m going to make my money.” The driver came into the unit aggressively and said every blanket was $10 and we had to remind him they were suppose to take everything out of the blankets/ boxes from the truck and we didn’t ask to keep any blanket. SO, the driver went into the unit and started throwing things around to take blankets off- making a huge mess and not placing anything back in their spots(everyone knows how you need units stacked properly). After a very unprofessional discussion, we told the driver we better not get an invoice for anything additional and he just laughed at us. Then the contracted mover guy was not even a professional mover and the truck driver tried to tell us we needed to pay the guy money for moving even though the whole move was already paid for. All of our fragile stuff was being tossed off the freight truck, even with us there complaining about it so just think what they do when you aren’t there. They didn’t allow us to check our inventory list until everything was done like we’re suppose to do to make sure we have everything. They were trying to give us other people’s things because they didn’t know who it belonged too. I wouldn’t trust them to move trash. We are in the process on checking inventory and what’s broken/ missing to file our claims. We added what we saw initially that was broken on the inventory list but again, we were being rushed and couldn’t check everything. Several boxes were opened and the damages are stacking up. Very fragile boxes were stacked at the bottom of heavy boxes. Overall this experience was a nightmare!! Movers beware!!

Long-distance move from Plano, TX to Palo Alto, CA

Happy with my choice.

US Movers moved us from Plano TX To the Bay Area, and also kept our entire 5 bedroom household goods in storage for 6 month until our house was ready, the movers did a very good job wrapping and packing and the were very friendly.

Long-distance move from Weatherford, TX to Ortonville, MI

Bait and switch, damaged goods.

US Movers arrived on day of move and stated amount was $2000 more than what was initially agreed. On delivery, nearly $2250 in damages occurred.

On 5/29/19 I received a quote for our move from Cross Country Moving Group for $9528.55. On the day of our move (6/29/19) the subcontractor (US Movers Inc) stated the cost would be $13,500. Since we needed to be out that day we agreed, and paid the bill. On delivery 10 days later they charged us an additional "shuttle charge" of $2000. On delivery it was apparent the boxes had been loaded and unloaded several times, as most of the boxes (purchased moving boxes) had been crushed. Glass shelves and other items the movers themselves packed had been shattered. Pictures of all of the items were taken as unboxed by myself and by the moving company, and totaled over $2200 in damages. On submitting a claim through Movingclaims.net the company agreed to pay $67.30 toward damages.
